Since its first full release in 2011, Minecraft has only been growing in popularity! Kids everywhere love the sandbox/adventure game, and so do we – that’s why we’ve “crafted” this DIY Minecraft birthday party look! We used lime green and emerald green party supplies as the basic building blocks, with some other enhancements along the way.

Empty cardboard boxes with green gift wrap are a fun way to add some height to your tablescape, and they’re also reminiscent of the green grassy blocks that make up the Minecraft world. Our black and green chevron party packs can be used to accent the scene and provide an eye-catching break from the solid colors, and we also made a delicious green candy centerpiece with some striped paper straws.
Speaking of sweets, we dug up these “dirt block” desserts with some chocolate crispy rice treats and green fondant. Any sort of brownies or bars will work just as well, too. Gold-wrapped chocolate nuggets serve as freshly smelted ingots, and blue rock candy can be the diamonds that every miner seeks! We also cut some small squares of black construction paper to re-create the iconic Creeper face for our juice bottles.
Having a single “Creeper cup” for forks and silverware is a great way to keep the table tidy, too. It also leaves more room for TNT cake! Ours was made with three square layers, decorated with colored fondant and black birthday candles for fuses. Green striped party favor boxes will ensure that the guests leave happy.
