Let the kids transform the party room into a scene from Busytown! Just tape a wide sheet of butcher paper on the lower portion of your wall so kids can reach. Spread out your stickers and provide paints, markers, etc., for your little artists so they can make a mural while guests arrive.
This fun activity is great for party guests of all ages! Simply have the party guests take turns pulling on one of the strings until the piñata bursts open and showers them with candy and prizes!
Bobbing for Mr. Worms Apple
- apples (one for each guest)
- large mixing bowls (1 for every 3 guests)
Fill large bowls with water and place 3 apples in each. Divide the children into teams of 3. Each team will get a bowl When you yell “Go”, have 1 kid from each team bob for an apple. Once he or she has caught an apple, have the next member of the team go. The first team to get all 3 apples wins!
Huckle Cat and Mouse Tag
Huckle Cat needs to catch all of the mice in Busy Town! Let the guest of honor be Huckle Cat. The other children are mice. Once a guest is tagged, they are frozen until the ref (any adult) comes and ties a red scarf around their arm they are now cats which means they get to try to tag the other kids. When the new cats tag party guests, the kids must remain frozen for 10 seconds. If Huckle Cat gets to them by then, they turn into a cat as well. If Huckle Cat does not make it to them on time, they remain mice and must try to avoid the cats again. Play until there are no mice left.
Grandma Cat’s Cookies
- prepared sugar cookie dough
- 1 can of vanilla frosting
- 1 bag of chocolate chip cookies
- 1 bag of thin pretzel sticks
These cute cookies will taste just like Grandma Cat used to make! First, prepare your cookies according to the directions on the package. When the cookies have fully cooled frost them with the vanilla frosting. Use the chocolate chips to make the cat’s eyes and nose (should look like an upside down triangle. Use 3 chips). Then, use the pretzel sticks to form whiskers (3 on each side). Adorable and delicious!
Lowly Worms Apple Punch
- 1 bottle apple juice, chilled 32 fl oz
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1 can frozen cranberry juice concentrate
- 1 1/2 liters of 7up
- 1 orange
Radiant and refreshing! Pour all of your juices into a punch bowl and add in the cranberry juice concentrate. Stir until the Cranberry juice is dissolved. Then add in your 7up. Use orange slices to garnish this delicious dish!
Lil Dog’s Hot Dog Cars
- hot dogs
- pickles (sliced)
Most transportation in Busytown is made of some kind of fabulous food! All you have to do is serve hot dogs with the fixings of the child’s choice and place slices of pickles on the sides to look like wheels!
