Supplies:
- Red and black construction paper
- Tape
- Scissors
- Black marker
Draw and cut out a ladybug using the red construction paper. Draw a face on the ladybug cutout using the black marker. Draw large circles in black on the lady bug, but do not color them in; these are the targets. Draw and cut out several circles using a fresh sheet of black construction paper.
Tape ladybug cutout to a wall (keeping in mind the height of the players). Place a piece of tape on each circle. Blindfold each player when it is their turn and spin them around 3 times. The player or players that get a spot on a target wins a small prize.
Pet Ladybug
Supplies:
- Cardboard egg carton
- Scissors
- Red paint
- Black paint OR black permanent marker
Before the party, cut apart the individual compartments of the egg carton. Each compartment will act as the base for one ladybug. When time comes for the activity, protect the work surface and give one of the cut out compartments to each party goer. Instruct the party goers to turn the compartments upside down. Once upside down, have each person paint their piece red. Once the red paint is dry, have the party guests use the black paint or permanent marker to add eyes, spots, and other details.
Ladybug Party Bags
Supplies:
- White party bags
- Red finger paint
Black permanent marker
- Red finger paint
- Black permanent marker
Protect the work surface and give each guest a white party bag. Instruct the party goes to dip a finger in the paint and then to press the finger against the bag. Each finger print they make will serve as the base for a lady bug.
They should cover as much of the bag as they want in finger prints. Once the paint is dry, the party goers can add eyes, spots, and other details to each of the red spots to finish the look. These bags are perfect for holding treats and other favors from the party.
Ladybug Bean Bag Toss
Supplies:
Cut three different-sized leaf shapes out of the fun foam. Write the number "1" on the largest leaves, "2" on the middle-sized leaves, and "3" on the smallest leaves; these are the point values. Lay the leaves out on the floor and give each player a chance to toss the bean bags onto the leaves. The player with the highest score wins.
