Each hula hoop should be placed at different distances to increase the difficulty i.e. 1 being the easiest and 5 being the most difficult target. Have a table near the area with coordinating prizes for each hoop. Each child will receive 5 chances to toss a soft foam football through the hula hoops. If they make it through the first hoop they will then move on to the next.
Training Camp
Supplies:
- Training cones
- Tape
- Large outdoor area to play in
Get the whole team involved in a great game of Football Training Camp! For older kids set up cones for them to weave around in a figure eight motion as fast as they can. You can also use tape on the grass to form squares that they have to step in and out of. For smaller children, a fun way for them to enjoy training camp is to line them up facing you or another adult. The adult gives the kids a command i.e. (jog in place, do jumping jacks…) followed by saying “Coach Says”. At the end of the training camp session reward each child with a prize for their hard work.
