Directions:
With two players, player #1 is allowed to shoot from anywhere on the court. If he makes the shot, then player #2 must duplicate the same shot from the same position. If player #2 misses, he receives the first "letter" from the word pig (P).
However, if player #1 missed his original shot; then player #2 would be free to shoot from anywhere on the court and, if he makes it, force player #1 to try and duplicate his made shots.
A player loses the game once he spells the word pig.
Personalized Team Pennants
Supplies:
- Poster board
- Colored paper
- Scissors
- Markers
- Basketball themed stickers
- Glitter
- Glue
Directions:
A cool craft to do as a cool down for your superstars! Before the basketball birthday party cut the poster board or construction paper into long triangular pennant shapes.
When the party starts, give your lil champs colored paper, stickers, scissors, glitter, glue, etc., and let them design their own pennants. Once the masterpieces are complete, cover them with clear contact paper (available at most hardware stores).
Autograph station! (as guests arrive or leave)

Pick up a basketball for the guest of honor and have all of the party goers sign it as they arrive! A fun themed keepsake for the birthday prince or princess!
Chase the dog
Supplies:
- Basketball
- Bandanas (one for each party guest)
Directions:
This awesome game will test your party guests’ ball handling skills! Give one bandanna to each player. Tell them to tuck the bandannas in their back pockets resembling a dog tail. When you blow the whistle, have the kids dribble the ball around the “court” and as they do, have them try to take the bandanas from the other children. The last child with a bandana wins. (Ages 9 and up)

Bagel pizza bites
Estimated Total Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
- Mini bagels
- Pizza sauce
- Shredded mozzarella
- Shredded cheddar (to resemble basketballs)
- Cubed pepperoni

Cut the mini bagels into halves and spread them out on a 13x9 inch baking pan. Spread your desired amount of pizza sauce on each bagel. After you’ve spread the sauce, add the shredded mozz. cheese. When you’re done with that, top off your delicious appetizers with the cubed peporoni! Put Great for growing athletes! Bake 7-8 minutes on 425 in the oven or until cheese is melted. (Can also be put in the microwave.)
Pasta bar

Athletes love to carbo-load before the big game! Make your little one’s feel like champs by setting up a pasta bar for the party.
Ingredients:
- Spaghetti
- Bowtie pasta
- Shell pasta
- Marinara
- Alfredo sauce
- Cheese sauce
- Diced chicken
- Shredded parmesan
- Shredded cheddar cheese

- 6-Medium bowls

Set up a pasta station with a bowl for the spaghetti, a bowl for the bowtie pasta and a bowl for the shells. Next to the Pasta station set up the sauce station with a bowl of marinara, alfredo and cheese sauce. Next to your sauce station put out a bowl for diced chicken, the shredded parmesan and the shredded cheddar cheese. Let your party guests go through the line and pick whatever pasta/sauces/toppings they want!)
All-Star fruit kabobs!
Ingredients:
- Seedless grapes
- Strawberries
- Pineapple
- Cheese (guest of honors fav)
- Apples
- Star fruit

- Wooden kabobs
- Metal star cookie cutter (optional)
Directions:
Use the birthday boy/girl’s favorite fruits and put them on a wooden kabob for a healthy snack! If you want to make it interesting, add starfruit pieces or pieces of cheese cut into stars with a metal star cookie cutter.
4. Basketball cake
Ingredients:
- 1 Package (18-1/4 ounces) chocolate cake mix
- 1-1/2 Cups vanilla frosting
- Orange paste food coloring
- 4 pieces black shoestring licorice

- 2-1/2-Quart ovenproof bowl
- Small bowl
- Serving plate
- Meat mallet
Directions:
Prepare cake batter according to package directions. Pour into a greased and floured 2-1/2-qt. ovenproof bowl. Bake at 350° for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from bowl to a wire rack to cool completely. In a small bowl, combine frosting and food coloring. Place cake on a serving plate. Spread with frosting. Gently press a meat mallet into frosting so texture resembles a basketball. For seams, gently press licorice into frosting. (Yield: 12-16 servings)
