Activities
Duck, Duck, Goose!
(Estimated time - 20 mins)
This is a fun party game for all ages!
Simply have your little guests sit in a
circle and be sure to leave enough space between each child to walk. To show the little ones how it's done you be the goose first. Walk around the outside of the circle touching each child on the head and say "Duck" every time until you pick someone to be it then you say "Goose". The child that is now the goose chases you until they either tag you or until you sit in the open spot.
Pin the Tail on the Donkey
(Estimated time – 20 mins)
Purchase a printed Pin the Tail on the Donkey game or show off your creative side and make one! To make your own game simply draw a donkey on a piece of construction paper and color it in. With another sheet of construction paper cut strips for the donkey tails. Place a piece of tape on the back of each tail and write the players names. Blindfold the player and spin them three times, guide them to the poster. The child to get the tail closest to the correct spot wins a prize.
Surprise in a Haystack
(Estimated time – 25 mins)
Supplies:
This is a fun way to get the party started! Designate an area outside if possible to put a stack of hay down. Hide a number of farm animal toys in the hay. Give each guest 2 minutes to find a prize to take home.
Animal Masks
(Estimated time – 30 mins)
Supplies:
- White paper plates
- Cotton balls, crayons, and yarn
- White glue or glue sticks
- Wooden sticks with round edges
- Tape
This is a great quite time craft that the kids will love! Prior to the party cut plates into different farm animal faces or you can simply cut out eyes, nose, and mouth openings. Designate an area as the work station and place all decorating materials in the center or an equal amount at each setting. Have parent helpers available to assist each child in decorating and coloring the masks. Once the children have finished their masks tape a wooden stick to transform it into a cool hand held mask.
