New Year's Party
3…2…1…Happy New Year's!
Every December 31st we gather our family and friends to celebrate the year that has passed and welcome in a new one. This night is all about the parties and being with loved ones. People want to dance, sing, drink and eat until they are worn out. It is a time of festive cheer, fun and plenty of good times and laughs. Many parties are done around an elegant theme because it is the one night of the year when you throw all your cares away and simply celebrate the riches of life.
To keep things elegant, use a simple color theme with black and red or gold and silver. Serve your guests at individual tables with foil centerpieces that look like they are bursting out of the table. Make sure you have plenty of balloons to create the right party atmosphere. Go ahead and include some of the foil ones for a little more shine. Don't forget the noise makers! Make sure every table is loaded with party horns and blowouts, so your guests are ready to celebrate when the ball drops.
Set your tables with matching or coordinating plates, cups, silverware and napkins. You want to make sure they have everything they need to enjoy all the great foods you'll be serving up. New Year's often is focused on the drinks, but you want to ensure your guests get their bellies full, too, so serve up some chips and dip, finger sandwiches, meatballs on toothpicks and bite size cakes.
