Title: Couldn't make them work

Some worked better than others. You have to blow pretty hard to get the train sound which was difficult for the little ones. What did I expect for a buck?

I read the previous reviews and decide to see for myself - I have to disagree with the prior reviews. These whistles can make a nice loud train sound and they work perfectly, at the time my 2 and 10 month old could both make the train sound. I absolutely enjoyed these. Bonus you can't beat the price!

Title: Should have followed others' advice

I read in earlier reviews that this product was fairly plain and did not work that well, but I decided to give them a try anyway. Unfortunately, the reviews were right. They don't work very well at all. They did look cute in my son's favor boxes for his 2nd birthday, which was a Planes, Trains, and Automobiles theme. Decent product for the price, I suppose.

only 3 of the 8 train whistles actually worked to the fullest. the others were soft and airey sounding with not actual whistle!

These whistles barely make a whistle sound let alone a train sounding whistle. My 5 yr old thought it was broken. But if you don't want much noise from it, they're ok.

I purchased these as part of the party favors for my son's 3rd birthday. They are cute, and fit the theme of our party well. Shipped on time, and were reasonably priced. They require a pretty strong breath in order to get the train sound to work; almost too much for young kids. Decent party favor for the money though.

Purchased these for my 2 yo's Thomas the train party favor. They are small, so read the dimensions (I didn't!!). They work ok. Honestly wish I would have spent the extra 50 cents on the larger one, but these will work fine for the treat bags. I stamped a little train on the top to give it a little something as they are pretty plain, too.

These are very small and mine arrived looking "unfinished" (as compared to the pictured unit). I thought it would be a good deal at only $1, but I wish I had spent more for a better product.

Title: Quiet and good price

These sounded a little softer than I expected, but that ended up being a good thing and the noise shouldn't bother most parents. I used rubber stamps and stamped the kids' names and choo-choo on two of the sides. They turned out very well and they didn't get mixed up that way.
